Ourobouros

The snake eating its own tale can be seen on older Masonic symbol charts, but nowadays it is mostly used in Memphis Misraim and the French Grand Egyptian Order (20th degree apron for example) and in some variations of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. See here.

There is a pretty one in the “Rite des Sophiens”, the rituals of a proto (or according to some “pseudo”) rite of Egyptian Freemasonry.

Three Distinct Knocks (1766) was also published in Dublin (year unknown). That edition has an interesting image at the end which includes an ourobouros.
