Sometimes there are two burning pillars or a pillar with fire and one with smoke. The explanation seems to be: “two columns, holding flames in their chapters, representing the elements of fire and air”.
In 2012 antiquarian Hondtong published the 1817 collection of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite as they were presented to Prince Frederik in 1817.
