In the 1893 Vermont Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite we find the following apron.
The beautiful tracing board below is an old French Rose-Croix board.
On a 28th degree Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite tracing board (see here) there are two snakes around a globe. The explanation says:
The Globe is the world in which we live, while the Serpents, being emblems of wisdom, teach us prudence.
