Adam and Eve (and a “triangular bowl“) on a first degree French tracing board of a French. Later Adam and Eve found their way to second degree “Adoption” tracing boards. “Adoption” lodges were early lodges for women with a different ritual than the men.
The French book Mutus Liber Latomorum from 1765 (more information here) has another image of Adam and Eve, the moment they are expelled from the Garden.
Image top and second. The image can be found in Feddersen (Die Arbeitstafel in der Freimaurerei Band I (1982) F/33, P. 303), but it comes from Le Parfait Maçon, 1744
Second: The Adoption Rite by Jan Snoek in REHMLAC 4/2 2023/3. He gives as source Le Parfait Maçon. It is also printed in l’Adoption ou la Maçonnerie des Dames from 1783. Available at Google Books.
